Thurk Joins Acme Packet Board

Michael Thurk, former chief operating officer of Avaya, has been appointed to Acme Packet's Board of Directors, effective immediately. Thurk is currently the managing partner for Mariposa Consulting. From 2006 to 2008, he was COO of Avaya, a global provider of business communications applications, systems and services. Before that, he held positions with Ericsson, Xyplex Networks, General Datacomm, and Digital Equipment Corp.
