Hunters Benefit Homeless
The Sportsman Channel feeds the homeless.
It's wonderful to see more examples of cable doing good in the community. Such was the case last weekend when The Sportsman Channel continued its collaboration with Safari Club International's Sportsmen Against Hunger to feed the homeless with meat donated by local hunters. This latest event included members of those two groups plus cable industry volunteers and chefs from NY's Waldorf Astoria Hotel. More than 150 homeless people at Grand Central Neighborhood Drop-In in New York City enjoyed the food (venison and buffalo chili) and the good spirit of the volunteers.
