The Comcast Media Center has purchased substantially all of the assets of Radiance Technologies, a provider of asset delivery systems for moving and managing large digital assets, for approximately $5 million, the companies said. Thomas L. Engdahl, president and CEO of Radiance Technologies, has joined the CMC's executive management team as senior vice president and general manager of Radiance, a wholly owned business operation of the CMC. Based in Santa Clara and bolstered by the CMC's operational and technological resources, Radiance Technologies' sales and customer support teams will continue to market Radiance's digital asset systems, including its flagship TrueDelivery managed asset delivery system, to the advertising and enterprise markets. The Radiance product development department has merged with the CMC's Engineering and Integrated Technology unit.
